Best Venue Software for Distilleries in 2026 (Private-Event Edition)
Distilleries running private events need quote + group booking, not a tour calendar. Shortlist of tools that actually work for event-side revenue.
The craft distillery growth story stopped being about the tour ticket in 2023. The growth story now is the rickhouse rented for a 90-person rehearsal dinner, the barrel room booked for a corporate cocktail-making team building, and the still house buyout for a brand launch party. The software most distilleries are using, a Square calendar or FareHarbor for tours, was never designed for that.
The American Craft Spirits Association's 2025 Economic Briefing reported that on-premise private events now account for 31% of distillery DTC revenue, up from 12% in 2019, while average event AOV climbed from $2,800 to $7,400. That's a different business than tour ticketing, and it needs different software.
What changes when events become a revenue line
A $35 tour ticket has one variable: how many people. An $8,400 cocktail-making buyout has seventeen: space, duration, cocktail count, ingredient package, branded glassware, custom bottle gifts, staffing tier, AV, F&B minimum, tax, and the inevitable "can we bring our own cake." A FareHarbor checkout cannot hold that quote.
- Quote builder with line items the planner can see and accept inline
- Real inventory so the barrel room can't be sold as both a tour stop and a buyout for the same Saturday
- Group cascade for the planner to send a guest meal/cocktail-choice form
- Deposit + contract in one flow so you stop chasing signatures
The shortlist
1. Everybooking, best for distilleries with a real private-event program
Built for the multi-line quote: ingredients package per guest, space rental, instructor staffing, branded gifting, tax. Group cascade so a corporate buyer can collect guest cocktail preferences without spreadsheets. Buyouts block tour calendars automatically. The Instant Group Quote Platform pattern means a 60-person team-building inquiry gets a real itemized number, not a callback request. Flat, published monthly pricing.
2. FareHarbor, best for tour ticketing only
The right tool for the tour side: tickets, capacity, gift cards, OTAs. Wrong tool the moment a quote has more than three line items or a deposit schedule. Many distilleries keep FareHarbor for tours and add Everybooking for events.
3. Tripleseat, best if you also run a restaurant
If your distillery has a full kitchen, a sommelier, and a banquet manager, Tripleseat's BEO discipline is worth the spend. Most craft distilleries don't, and Tripleseat's price is hard to justify on 18 events/year.
4. HoneyBook, best for the smallest event volume
Templates and a clean signature flow. Falls apart once you need real inventory for the barrel room versus the tasting bar versus the still house as separately bookable spaces.
5. Eventbrite, best for the public ticketed event
Holiday cocktail class with 40 open seats? Sell it on Eventbrite. Don't try to run a wedding rehearsal dinner through it.
How to pick
- Mixed tour + event business with events as the growth story: Everybooking + keep FareHarbor for tour tickets.
- Tour-heavy with a few events/year: FareHarbor + a manual contract template.
- You own a full restaurant + distillery: Tripleseat.
- Tour-only: FareHarbor or Peek.
- Hosting public ticketed classes: Eventbrite for those, separately.
The 60-second test
Open whichever tool you're considering and try to build a quote for: "75 guests, Saturday night, 90 minutes, cocktail-making class with three signature cocktails, food minimum $2,400, branded gift bottle for each guest." If the tool can't render a real number with a deposit link, it's a tour booker, not a venue tool.
