The biggest mistake on venue websites, and what to do instead
The BIGGEST mistake venue owners make on their site, do this instead. Watch on YouTube
What this video shows
Sugar Hollow Retreat, a wedding venue on 300 acres in the Tennessee mountains, has a beautiful website that ends in two buttons: watch a video tour, or book a call three days out. This video hands that website to the Everybooking MCP server from Claude Code, which reads the venue's packages, ceremony sites and houses, builds a booking flow on them and tests it. Then it walks the flow as a couple would: 160 adults and 40 kids, ceremony sites priced on request, and an itemized proposal emailed the moment they finish.

0:00The wrong call to action
Most wedding venue websites have the wrong call to action. And in this video, I'm gonna show you what you should do instead, and how you can set something up like this on your website for free. Let's get into it.
0:14A great website with two options: a tour or a call
Take a look at this site. This is Sugar Hollow Retreat. They're a wedding venue that does overnight stays and this website is honestly really good. Like I really love the aesthetic and the video background is amazing. But what I realized is that when somebody wants to go and make an inquiry, they have literally two options, which is watch a video tour and book a call. And so, you know, when a couple is ready to make a decision and they have the budget and they have their dates and they come here and all they're told to do is effectively wait.
So, you know, they're going to schedule three days in advance. And telling them "hey we'll meet with you in three days" is not a reply.
0:51The five-minute rule
And the data shows that if you can respond within five minutes, you're 21 times more likely to qualify a lead compared to 30 minutes out.
1:06Building the funnel from their website
So here's what I did. I took their website URL and I actually gave it to the Everybooking MCP server. And so I'm using Claude Code here, but any MCP client works. And what it does is that it reads their website, it looks at their packages, the different ceremony sites, the houses they have for overnight accommodations, even the language that they use to describe everything, and then built the funnel that creates a custom proposal.
And it's based on actual availability. And then it tests everything, start to finish, to make sure that it makes a logical invoice. So let's take a look at what it created.
1:42Walking the funnel as a couple
So it opens by asking what kind of wedding? A full weekend, an elopement, a private retreat, or the whole property. So that's based on their actual four offerings, not a generic form. And then after that, we have 200 guests, but 160 adults and 40 kids. So we break it down. And that's important because, again, kids' meals aren't priced like adult meals. So you have the flexibility to be able to do that.
And where price depends on a conversation, so maybe you want to have a discussion about what their ceremony site should be, you don't have to show them pricing at all. You can literally just say "on request" instead of having some random number. So with just a few seconds of clicking and at the very end this is what they see and what they get.
2:30The itemised proposal
They get a real proposal. Every choice that they made is now itemized. It has accurate pricing and availability. It's got their dates on it. There's a couple of things I guess worth mentioning and that is that you control all of the pricing that they see.
2:42You decide what price they see
So you can show your full pricing for every single line item. You can do partial or nothing at all until you've actually spoken. And so, you know, if you don't want them to see $100,000 number landing in an inbox before you've talked to them, it doesn't have to. The whole point is that you have control over what they see. But the value of what we've done here is that they go through a process where they build their dream package.
They build exactly what they want and it gives them the control over the decision-making process and it makes them much more likely to respond and engage with you and your venue.
3:21The quote email, sent the instant they finish
So they put together this proposal, and all of this gets emailed the instant that they actually complete it. So, if they come to your site at 11 at night wanting to know if they can afford a wedding on your mountain, they went to bed actually knowing.
3:37Try it on your own website
So if you wanna do something like this for your venue, you can actually get started for free right away. There's no credit card required. There's no 30-day free trial. All you have to do is go to Everybooking.com/demo. You can enter your website just like we did in this video, and we'll build you a custom funnel that you can use on your website. So go ahead, put in your website, and we'll see you in the next video.
