Everybooking vs. Shopmonkey
Shopmonkey is an all-in-one platform for auto repair shops: workflow, digital estimates and invoices, inspections, payments, parts and labor lookups, and customer messaging. Everybooking does not run the shop. It works in front of it, on your website and ads, where a driver picks the service they need and gets an exact, itemized price in seconds, then books or pays a deposit right there. For menu-priced work, that is the step where shoppers decide who to call. The honest split is below, including where Shopmonkey is the better tool.
What Shopmonkey does well.
- Fast estimates inside the shop: canned services with pre-built pricing, parts and labor guides inside any estimate, and a pricing and labor matrix that applies your markups and shows projected profit as you build.
- Customer approval from anywhere: estimates go out by text or email, customers authorize with an e-signature, and you get an instant notice plus an audit trail of every approval.
- A real shop workflow: real-time job tracking, digital vehicle inspections, VIN and license-plate lookup from the mobile app, purchase orders, inventory and a time clock on the higher plans.
- Published pricing, payments built in (including in-person, online and buy now, pay later), and a CRM Essentials add-on (listed at $349/mo, $314/mo on annual pricing) with an online appointment scheduler and a Front Desk Concierge that answers calls and books appointments.
If your hard part is moving cars through the bays and getting work approved and paid, Shopmonkey is built for that, and you should keep it.
Where the two products differ.
- 01.The estimate is built by your team. Shopmonkey makes building an estimate quick, but someone at the shop still builds it after the customer gets in touch. Everybooking puts your menu-priced services on your site so the customer builds their own quote: they pick the service and options and see the exact, itemized total in seconds.
- 02.Online booking is an add-on there, the core here. Shopmonkey's online booking and front desk assistant are part of CRM Essentials, which its pricing page lists as a paid add-on to any plan. Everybooking's starting product is the instant quote itself, with the booking, call or deposit built into the same flow.
- 03.Every link and ad gets its own tracked quote. The same instant quote can run from your website, a Google ad, a mailer QR code or a text, and every lead lands in the Everybooking dashboard with what they picked and which ad or link it came from.
- 04.No labor guide on our side. This one cuts the other way. Everybooking has no vehicle lookup, labor guide, inspections or repair orders. A repair that depends on what the technician finds belongs in Shopmonkey, not in an online quote.
Should you even switch?
For almost every Shopmonkey shop, don't switch. Shopmonkey runs the work orders, inspections, estimates built from labor guides, parts, payments and the daily workflow, and Everybooking does none of that.
Where Everybooking fits is in front of it, for the services you already price from a menu: oil changes, brake packages, tire installs, inspections, detailing, fleet packages, or a set-price diagnostic visit. Put an instant quote on your website and ads, let customers book or pay a deposit, and keep Shopmonkey for everything once the car is in the bay. For most shops that is an add-on, not an alternative.

Shopmonkey FAQ.
- How much does Shopmonkey cost?
- Per Shopmonkey's pricing page, checked October 19, 2026: Basic is $239 a month with 3 user licenses, Clever is $399 a month with 4, Genius is $499 a month with 5, and Multi-Shop is priced on request. Annual pricing saves up to 10%, and extra users are $20 a month each. CRM Essentials, which includes online booking, is a paid add-on. Prices change, so confirm on their site.
- Is Everybooking a Shopmonkey alternative?
- Not for running the shop. Shopmonkey handles work orders, inspections, estimates with parts and labor guides, payments and workflow, and Everybooking does none of those. Everybooking covers the step before the car arrives: a customer picks a service on your website or from an ad, gets an exact, itemized price in seconds, then books or pays a deposit. Most shops would run both.
- How is this different from Shopmonkey's canned services?
- Canned services help your team build an estimate faster once a customer is in touch. Everybooking puts your priced services in front of the customer, so they see the total themselves before they call, at any hour. For anything that needs a technician to look at the car, Shopmonkey's estimate flow is the right tool.
- Can I run Shopmonkey and Everybooking together?
- Yes. Everybooking captures the priced request, the booking and any deposit, and the job goes into Shopmonkey when the car comes in. We have not built a direct connection to Shopmonkey, so plan on moving the job across by hand.
- What does Everybooking cost?
- The Instant Quote Funnel is $97 a month plus $297 one-time setup, or $970 a year with setup included, and it comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. A Full Setup of the whole system, including AI replies and AI phone answering, is priced on a short call.
