Everybooking vs. Jobber

Jobber is one of the most-used field service platforms in home services, and for scheduling, dispatch, and getting paid it is very good at its job. Everybooking starts one step earlier: it reads the inbound request and sends back a real itemized estimate in seconds, at 10pm, without anyone touching it. They are not the same layer, and most operators who run both keep both. Honest comparison below, including where Jobber wins outright.

Jobber Wins

What Jobber does well.

  • Scheduling, dispatch, and route planning for a crew that moves between jobs all day — Everybooking has nothing comparable.
  • Recurring and contract visits: repeat schedules, per-visit tracking, and job history that follows the client.
  • A field-first mobile app for techs, with time tracking and on-site job details.
  • Client hub, invoicing, and payments in the same tool, plus published per-plan pricing you can read without a sales call.

If your hard part is coordinating crews and visits after the work is sold, Jobber is built for exactly that and you should keep it.

Where Jobber Leaves a Gap

The 4 specific gaps.

  1. 01.The estimate still waits for you. Jobber gives you quote templates and a client hub to approve them. Someone still has to open the request, pick the line items, and price it. The 10pm request sits until morning, and the contractor who answered first is usually already booked for the walkthrough.
  2. 02.No agent on the inbound channels. Web form, email, SMS, and phone all still land on a human. Everybooking reads the request on any of those channels, classifies it, drafts the priced estimate and the reply, and holds it for your approval.
  3. 03.Templated quoting, not rule-driven pricing. A ten-line quote from a template is fine. A 40-line project quote with conditional add-ons, per-square-foot rules, allowances, and markup tiers is where template-picking becomes the bottleneck, and where a pricing engine earns its place.
  4. 04.Built around the visit, not the pre-visit number. The Jobber flow assumes you'll assess and then quote. For high-AOV project work the customer wants a real ballpark before anyone drives anywhere — and the business that sends one filters out the jobs that were never in budget.
First, the honest question

Should you even switch?

For most Jobber users the honest answer is: don't switch, add. Jobber owns the work after the deal — scheduling, dispatch, recurring visits, invoicing, the tech's day. Everybooking owns the twenty minutes before it, when a stranger describes a job and the first real number wins the walkthrough.

Where a switch does make sense is the operator whose revenue is a smaller number of larger projects: $5K+ jobs, 10 to 100 line items, conditional pricing, a deposit and a payment schedule attached to a signed document. That estimate is the whole sale, and building it by hand is the constraint. If your day is 14 short visits instead, Jobber's scheduling depth matters more than anything on this page.

FAQ

Jobber FAQ.

Is Everybooking a replacement for Jobber?
For most operators, no. Jobber runs scheduling, dispatch, recurring visits, and the technician's day, and Everybooking does not do those things. Everybooking replaces the manual estimate-building step in front of all that: it reads the inbound request, prices it from your rules, and sends an itemized estimate with e-signature and a deposit. Operators whose business is a small number of large project quotes sometimes do move fully; operators running many short visits a day keep Jobber.
Can I run Jobber and Everybooking together?
Yes, and that's the common setup. Everybooking answers the inbound request and gets the estimate signed and the deposit paid, then the won job goes into Jobber for scheduling and fulfillment. There is no native Jobber integration today, the handoff is manual or via CSV export, so weigh that against the time the front door saves you.
How is this different from Jobber's quote templates?
A template is a starting layout you fill in. Everybooking's engine holds your labor rates, material costs, markup tiers, and conditional logic, then applies them to a request that arrived in plain English and returns the finished itemized estimate for your review. The difference shows up on complex quotes: a 40-line project with allowances and add-ons is where template-picking stops saving time.
Does Everybooking do scheduling and dispatch like Jobber?
No dispatch board, no routing, no technician GPS. There is a booking calendar with drag-and-drop rescheduling, and an Operations module on select accounts that generates per-booking tasks with skills, assignments, checklists, and proof-of-completion photos. If crew routing is your core problem, that is Jobber's territory, not ours.
What does Everybooking cost compared to Jobber?
Everybooking publishes flat monthly tiers starting free (10,000 one-time credits, no card, no time limit) and moving to $100/mo. Jobber also publishes its plan pricing. Neither is sales-gated, so compare them directly on our pricing page and theirs, and weigh what each one is replacing in your stack.
